Passionné par les métiers de l’art, Bruno Cabanis propose une incursion dans le milieu des artisans de l’horlogerie française, de la création à la fabrication, en passant par la restauration. À travers plus de 800 clichés, le photographe revisite un art de précision et de savoir-faire, représenté par une vingtaine de corps de métiers. Mécanicien horloger, bronzier-ciseleur, ébéniste d’art… Les artisans se sont prêtés au jeu pour partager les secrets de leur art, auquel ils consacrent tout leur temps avec passion et minutie.

With a passion for art, Bruno Cabanis offers an incursion into the world of craftsmen of the French watchmaking industry: creation, production, restoration… Through more than 800 pictures, the photographer revisits an art of precision and know-how, represented by about twenty professions. Watchmaking mechanic, bronze chaser, cabinetmaker… The craftsmen played the game to share the secrets of their art, to which they devote all their time with passion and meticulousness.
