Exhibition Henk Helmantel at Artvera’s Gallery Geneva
Artvera’s Gallery in Geneva presents its new exhibition Henk Helmantel: A Contemporary Old Master from October 16th 2015 to 27th, 2016. Exhibiting for the very first time in Switzerland, celebrated Dutch artist Henk Helmantel showcases a series of exquisitely executed still lifes, intimate table and interior scenes of medieval churches and monasteries. Part of Artvera’s programme is to introduce lesser-known contemporary artists to the city. The exhibition sheds light on the development of the artist’s career showing very early paintings from 1969 up until today. Artvera’s is a Geneva-based art gallery specializing in European and Russians masters of modern art. Since opening its doors in 2007, Artvera’s programme has been distinguished by its museum-like approach. All exhibitions are accompanied by meticulously researched and thoroughly illustrated catalogues, produced by Artvera’s, in collaboration with leading art scholars and experts. The 5,400 square foot gallery, divided into six exhibition rooms, occupies a lovingly restored medieval building in the heart of the old town.
